Tool Time for Big Daddy

I'm still working with the stamp set from SU called For Father. I used the image for the tools this time around. My husbands tool box has been abused and misused over the last few years. (He is really not a very handy guy if you know what i mean...working around the house is not his thing..remember the story about him changing the light bulbs on our front porch???!!!! I had to have them rewired after he attempted to change the bulbs!) However when he does need a tool there is never any to be found! So for Father's Day we are restocking his tool box for him. I thought that the image from this set was perfect for the card to set the tone for his gift.
I used the SU textured card stock...I'm really loving that paper...and the au chocolate dp from SU. I finally broke out my little packages of the ribbon charms and used them too. I am trying to use up my supplies before purchasing any more. Which brings me to another topic. I am taking a little break from StampinUp. I have to place a $238 before June 30th to remain active and I have decided to just let it lapse. I have an abundance of supplies to get me through the six months! (if you lapse your status as a consultant you have to wait 6 months before you can join again) And since it's only me doing the ordering it's gotten to be just too much of a commitment for me. I know that I'm probably going to regret this decision at some point, but for now it's the right one for me.
I hope you all have a wonderful father's day.
Smiles :)

Love the card Lorraine!! Thanks for your comment, I have truly missed you! I hope that you don't mean you are taking a 6 month leave of absence from blogging...I'd have to make a visit and pull you back in!!

This card is beautiful!! I love the stamp, stitching, and papers. It must have taken you awhile to make this. Love, love it.

LOVE LOVE the card!! Awesome! Maybe you can get some orders with the retired list coming out? Offer up a good sale to some friends and family...that's what I did and I had a big order from a friend. I didn't make any money from it...but it helps keep me active in this slow time :)

This is a GOJUS card (aka JanTink!) Love it!! You are so talented - ever tried entering your work at SU? I know you'd win or get showcased!! I hate that you're dropping your demoship - but I know that 238 dollars is a lot of money to come up with!! But you'll have fun trying to use up all your supplies that you have. Just don't take a break from blogging though, b/c we all enjoy your work!!

I love your card. I understand about taking a SU break. I have to place my order by the end of June and am really struggling with my decision.
