Stephen told me that the school colors were gold and blue, so here's what I came up with. I used the chef from Viola, night of navy & brushed gold card stock. I used my cuttlebug embossing folder on the brushed gold panel to the side of the chef, wow, i haven't used the cb in a long time! The covered tray is on a brad and slides to say Thank You.
thanks for looking and have a great day!

PS...If any of you have an "in" at Johnson and Wales will you put in a good word for my son? He's a great kid! This is the son who bought me a stamp set! LOL!

Neat card. I can't believe you haven't used your CB in awhile. I love mine. :)
I love your card, and I'm sure that the admissions gal will as well.
My daughter is 13 and has been talking about culinary for about 4 years now, so I'm thinking it's the way she'll go. She keeps saying R.I. is where she wants to go. I know that there is a new school in NY, but I'd rather have her in R.I. too :) Best of luck to your son.
What a cute idea! And you know you're totally responsible for me buying this set, right? I also looked at J&W for college, but ended up staying home and going to the U in my hometown.
Lorraine..you are da bomb...this is a great card and how appropriate!
Will think good thoughts and prayers that he gets in!
Awesome! Yay for your son! You must be so incredibly proud of him! Such a tough decision, where to go to school.
What an appropriate thank you card. The gold embossed paper is a great touch.
