My Baby is 15!

Today is my daughters birthday. Zoe is 15 and I just can't believe it. She is such a delightful young lady. I was debating whether or not to just take a card from my stash and customize it for her, but decided that she is special enough to make her an original. Let me tell you, it was really hard to sit down after being away from my craft table for so long. I just sat there for a good hour searching through stamps trying to decide what I was going to work with! I pulled out some bellas, rubber romance, su, mft, hm's ( way too much coloring) and finally decided on a rubbernecker image. Whew...that was work. I was exhauted just from the process of finding something to work with! On to the paper search! Let's not even discuss that! LOL! I knew that I wanted to watercolor the image and I forgot what I needed. A duh...the watercolor pen, some water and the ink pad! Now it's all coming back to me...so I sat and sat and worked. It did feel good to be in my craft room again. I wanted to do some stitching on the card and when I took my machine out, guess what color was already in the machine? The color that I wanted to use. It was like everything was falling into place, making the process a little easier for me. After making the card I even made a mega paper clip to go with the card. I hope that you like them.
The card is very simple, not much detail, I didn't want to take away from the image. I did make the card 5 1/4 " square. (I learned the hard way that if you make the cards 5 1/2 " square they don't fit into the 5 1/2" square envelopes! duhh, again!) I hope you're all having a wonderful day. I've got to go and bake a cake!
Smiles :)
